“An Italian Oasis nestled in a tiny corner of the American Heartland”

Sicilian-born Alessandro Pilumeli has brought a piece of that beautiful island to Ashtabula! He shares his amazing talent of cooking with those lucky enough to know about his little eatery. My wife, two sons and I enjoyed a Valentine’s Day dinner that was prepared and served by a chef and his staff who truly have a passion for food and pleasing people. The veal, trout and pizza dishes were all outstanding! Italian-style desserts and beverages perfectly complimented the meal. The restaurant has the feel of an authentic Italian “trattoria”. The minimal wait time we endured was hardly an inconvenience but rather a testament to the quality of the establishment. Bravo Alessandro and Tanya!    –MarottaAC, Cleveland OH

“Italy Comes To Geneva, Saybrook And Ashtabula”

Authentic Italian, just like my grandmother and mother. Food comes off the stove piping hot; you can see Alessandro cooking! Fresh baked bread and homemade salad dressing-nothing fake! He hand picks vegetables, seafood and meats in season. Even has a summer garden in the back. Portions are sized and priced just right, nice wine list and wonderful servers. Be prepared to wait during season-but worth it. BRAVO ALESSANDRO!     –jogus4806, Youngstown OH

“The BEST Italian restaurant in Northeast Ohio”

Alessandro’s Ristorante, about 4 miles East of Geneva on Rt 531 Lake Road has the best dining experience, in my opinion, in the state of Ohio. It doesn’t look like much, only has a few tables and is known for some 20-40 minute waits on the weekends but it is well worth it as the Italian born chef works alongside his family to whip up fantastic daily specials, Italian favorites, and even delicious pizza. Rumor has it that he keeps the restaurant small so he can handmake each dish……..AND IT SHOWS!!!! EXCELLENT! My family has a small place by the lake and going to Alessandro’s is our new lake tradition.   –LuluTheTraveler Massillon OH
